MDX Reporting is available via Excel Pivot tables

- performance limitations of the desktop
- Reporting on SAP HANA -Native Excel -pivot tbls(ODBO)
- ODBO driver is available via the advanced option of the data connection wizard
- Standard MS Pivot tbl interface
- checks measures, drag and drop rows/columns
Create a pivot table using a Calculation View
Excel Pivot Tbls(ODBO/MDX Access
- Initiate the Excel data connection wizard
- Data Ribbon --> other Sources --> Data Connection Wizard
- Select other/advanced drivers then click Next
- SAP HANA MDX provider -->next
- Connection Tab --> Test Connection
- Host, Instance Number, User, PW, Language
- Choose a pkg --> cube(analytic or calculation view)
- Select pck, select calc view, next
- Connect/save
- Accept the pivot tbl report properties -->connect
- Empty pivot tbl,
- List of fields available in the PivotTable Field List
